Pretty basic but it did the job.

This hinge set fits "regular" toilet seats. . . not Bemis, which has a different hole pattern as far as the hinge screws are concerned. My seat is American standard, whatever the cost. Value for money is so-so considering you can pick up a basic wooden toilet seat from Home Depot for just a few dollars more, but it won't be up to American standards. I couldn't use the screws from the kit because they were too long, so I used old screws that were actually a bit rusty.

Pros
  • Sanitary
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

The replacement hinges appear strong enough for domestic use but I would not recommend them for a heavily used toilet. The installation guide is fine if the old hinges are the same as these, but sounds simpler than it would otherwise be. If your old seat has a different bolt hole orientation, you will need to position the seat pieces and these pieces very carefully, making sure the mounting bolt holes are 5.5 inches apart. , drill 3/32" pilot holes for the screws, being careful not to go too…

Pros
  • kitchen and bathroom fittings
Cons
  • no dispenser

I can fix a toilet seat - that's great!

So, part of the fastener that holds the top of my toilet seat broke. It was very old. As a result, I could not close the toilet lid. I'm NOT the repair guy, but I didn't want my landlord sending someone to fix it during a pandemic. (It usually takes multiple visits and rescheduling to fix even a minor thing like this.) So I decided to try it myself. It took me a while to figure out what part I needed and it's the leftmost one on the manufacturer's website. A photo. It doesn't look like others…

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Exorbitant Piggy Bank
