Review on Keeney PP835 34 Toiler Hinge Straight by Djuan Thompson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I can fix a toilet seat - that's great!

So, part of the fastener that holds the top of my toilet seat broke. It was very old. As a result, I could not close the toilet lid. I'm NOT the repair guy, but I didn't want my landlord sending someone to fix it during a pandemic. (It usually takes multiple visits and rescheduling to fix even a minor thing like this.) So I decided to try it myself. It took me a while to figure out what part I needed and it's the leftmost one on the manufacturer's website. A photo. It doesn't look like others sell these parts - you usually have to buy the entire hinge (which I found harder to replace). I didn't think I could figure out how to replace the entire toilet seat either (and I didn't want to end up without a toilet seat if I messed something up). Anyway, this item pack is pretty cheap plastic, but it's the stuff I need. Since it was a slightly different height than the original, I had to replace both sides. The screws were ok. Most importantly, IT WORKS and I can close the toilet lid, which is important because I have a very small bathroom and need to put things in it while showering. Trust me, if I could figure it out, anyone could. !
