For more privacy, I don't need a wide-angle webcam for video conferencing. The wide-angle cameras push the entire room in my home office into the background. It's a narrow FOV, it's a 60° FOV webcam perfect for my needs! It shows a user's torso and isn't much larger than what you see in a photo of a person seated at a table. This is perfect for the bare minimum I want to show off in a home video conference! My kids also use it for online classes.* You want a camera that shows multiple people or the whole room. Look for wide-angle webcams with a 100 or 120 degree field of view.
