At first they were uncomfortable but now I wear them, I'm in them all the time. The rubber rand on the outsole grips the edge of your foot as it sinks into traffic. However, this quickly subsided and after about 5 days of continuous use, the side rubber became softer and flattened out. I also ordered 8 although I have 9 because I knew they would stretch. I'm glad I did as they are perfect now. With other moccasins my toes would dangle forward after 3-4 weeks. It is best to be snug for the first 2 weeks.
