Review on 🔊 Enhance Your Audio with rolls Tube PREAMPLIFIER, Black (PA555) by Michael Norwood

I wanted to use an active preamp as an attenuator and buffer between the DAC and the integrated amplifier. Tried a cheaper one ($45-50) that was fine but decided to upgrade so I bought this Bellari/Rolls preamp. This one sounds a lot better and the build quality is better. I like to use a tube preamp for a tube tone as I don't have room for a tube amp, plus I live where it doesn't get too cold, typically around 74-80 degrees (I live in a six story building, upstairs). Floor). I like this preamp for the reasons mentioned and also because it's made in the USA. The tube that came with mine was Dor, I already had a spare tube from my guitar amp so I used that one until I found a few more tubes. Ordered different tubes 12ax7, Tung Sol, Mullard, Genelex Gold Lion and Tube Amp Doctor 5157. Tung Sol was ok, not bad but good. Mullard was slightly better but my favorites are TAD 5157 and Genalex Gold Lion 12ax7. These 2 have a richer, more classic sound. I'm very glad I bought this preamp, I love the sound!
