Review on Gardus R3203612 12ft Extension Kit for LintEater RLE202 Dryer Vent Cleaning, White by Pavan Pelletier

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Just clean the dryer vent tube. Ideally, you will need a shop vacuum or electronic blower to assist.

My family has lived in our home for over 10 years and has never cleaned the dryer vent. I always knew I should do it, but somehow I never got around to it. I finally decided it was time and did some research. The Linteater brand seemed a bit pricey, but since you can only buy one and use it forever, the price isn't bad. I found out that Lowe sold the same brand so I took them and then got an expansion kit from Revain. I stuck my shop vacuum into the dryer vent around the house and then went outside and started running the lint eater inside out. WOW! I filled my shop vacuum with lint 3 times. Then I put everything back together and started the dryer. My advice: the first time you run the dryer after cleaning the vent tube, have someone hold a bag over the outside vent because when I started the dryer another huge pile of lint fell out of the channel. Which flew onto the lawn. It's ok as I collected large chunks and the rest cleared up in a few days.
