These are quality sunglasses which are reflected in their weight, scratch/UV/polarization resistance and loops. While proof of build quality can sometimes be elusive, for me the simplest indicator is the hinge: most hinges are what I would describe as three prongs - one from the eyepiece, between two from the earpiece, and so the glasses tend to buckle break side of the eye of this hinge. they have 5 pins. I can only imagine they would have a better design if they had a traditional metal reinforcement on the bottom of the earcup that is adjustable.
