Review on 🐱 Ultra Pet Clumping Crystal Cat Litter: 5lb Pack with White & Multicolor Crystals by Melanie Lewis

UPDATE - so had to change after a week! Full Retreat. I just changed it on Friday and am already ready to throw away those 2 bags. I use 2 bags because it needs to be over 4 inches deep so there aren't clumps at the bottom of the pot. Terribly dusty to the point where it enters the mouth. I have NEVER seen such a dusty spatula and I have tried sooo many brands. He has a HORRIBLE lumpiness! It mostly breaks down into tiny clumps of urine and feces too small to scoop up and the litter becomes disgusting a few days afterward. It's only broken by cats covering or moving trash, not just shoveling. I've tried scooping very gently to not break up the clumps, but nothing helps. Smell doesn't exist, that's why you need stars. I was going to buy the regular version but I still find dust to be a problem so I'm not sure now. Not impressed and would not recommend. This product is really good. It just doesn't "clump" so be careful when scooping. You really just have to shake the spoon a little and let most of the crystals fall out of the spoon on their own so they don't break into pieces that are too small. I accidentally bought 4 bags instead of the usual one. This is my first time using this brand, I've only tried fresh steps. I have a Miracle of Nature XL really deep tray and I used 2 bags because 1 bag was only about 2 inches deep but I wanted it to be a little deeper as I've tried crystals before and it just needs to be a lot deeper . No grounding like other negative reviews. If you look at their photos, they clearly don't have enough junk in the box. I have 3 new kittens with a box and she is doing a great job. I scoop several times a day just because I'm used to the robotic litter above for my adult cat but currently use the traditional box in my bedroom while the kittens adjust and weigh enough to use the robot and enough too to weigh. I would still recommend scooping and mixing thoroughly at least once a day so the crystal sticks together and is well absorbed. It's also VERY dusty. I can feel dust getting into my nose and mouth as I clean. It's probably the "caking agent" they add to that. I would definitely recommend it, but just go with the regular version. This is a lot less scooping as you will only be scooping up feces and not urinating. I will keep my remaining 2 bags but once they run out I'll just buy the non-clump version. Oh, and it definitely tracks, so a trash mat is a must. Generally an excellent litter. I almost feel that because it doesn't absorb or stir up urine it can instead last longer than the regular Crystal fill, but I'll see when I finish 4 packs and try their regular looks. With fresh litter, one bag lasts about 7-10 days for me with two kittens. I just got her sister and I'm maybe day 4 of this litter of 3 cats so I can't tell for sure how long it will be but it definitely doesn't smell like the normal way of swallowing pee until day 4 .
