This brand is by far my FAVORITE! However, this product is HORRIBLE! It's like filling a tray with salt! Tiny (sharp) pieces of white are flying all over the house. Worst in bed! It's gross and even worse than bed crumbs because they feel so sharp and sharp on exposed skin. 30 day update: Urine odor wasn't masked as well towards the end as it was at the beginning. It's held together well the whole time and yes it does stick to the bottom of the box but if you scratch it a little it will rise. Both of my cats took to it well and actually started using this box as their main box. If a cat lover wants to try this brand for their kittens, this is not a bad option. I'm on my next brand! Okay I've given top filler reviews but this is a scam, know I'm just basing this on comparing to other silica brands. I use the Iris top entry box, which is quite wide and deep. The tip is to make sure you always have 2 inches of litter, which becomes impossible after a while since clumps remove a lot of dirt after a cat pees. First time with this product. The cat litter I normally use has gone up in price. I used an unusual non-clumping crystalline filler (the type with crystalline "cores" that look like Lego if you accidentally step on them). I switched to a corn based litter which of course had rave reviews but was shocked and outraged to find that it did NOT control the odor in ANY WAY. My poor cat ran out of her box after using it because even with her daily digging, the corn litter kept the nastiest smells out.

I'm new to Crystal Filler. I never knew you could use them to control odors BUT the ones in the store hurt the cats paws because of their shape and they soon start smelling like a urinal as the urine is still in it. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the (I think) top brand silica cat litter and due to the cheap price I tried Ultra Clumping Crystals cat litter. I switched between them several times and the difference is between day and night! In comparison, the only thing the leading brand has is the ability to change color to indicate changes in your cat's health. UPDATE - so had to change after a week! Full Retreat. I just changed it on Friday and am already ready to throw away those 2 bags. I use 2 bags because it needs to be over 4 inches deep so there aren't clumps at the bottom of the pot. Terribly dusty to the point where it enters the mouth.
