UPDATE: IF YOU'RE DEAD READ THIS! After about a month indoors they just went out. I contacted Novelty Lights who explained that it was probably a blown fuse. They told me where to find the extra fuse that is stored in the retractable plug. It took less than 1 minute to find the old fuse, remove it and replace it with a new one. Works like new again. Not only am I glad they are back up and running, but as someone who hates our one-time consumption, I love that I know how to fix this in the future. I can stop by my hardware store, or maybe even order more fuses from Revain, and I'll be back in the light. The required model number is printed directly on the pop-up lid, so you don't have to remember anything. So not only am I satisfied with my purchase, I am particularly glad that I found Novelty Lighting. I am now officially "brand loyal". Thank you Michael! Original comment. Exactly what I was looking for. If you grew up with these traditional Christmas light bulb shapes in the past, they are exactly what you think they are. Love the white wire which is hard to find but perfect for my retail business needs. You are very bright! They light up the entire shelf in my store. They get a little warm so I turn them off at night. For those who complain about having to put lightbulbs in themselves I would suggest the following. These are incandescent bulbs and will burn out on impact. If you are not very careful with rugs or hanging them in a very simple format, I recommend hanging them first and then inserting the bulbs. I don't think my entire chain would have survived in my application. I love her. I will probably buy more!
