So the storage box arrived damaged because the chisels were not properly placed in it. The largest chisel was in the smallest storage part, and when the lid was closed before shipment, the storage box lid jumped out and broke. Now that they aren't, I believe they're of acceptable quality, and while they're not "extremely" sharp, they do contain the necessary components to make them deadly sharp if you know what you're doing . They are only intended for cutting wood and wood. After sharpening them I was really impressed that they easily cut through pine, oak, cherry and poplar with little effort. Again, they need to be properly sharpened for satisfactory results, but after that they work like any expensive chisel I've had.
