Subaru gel pens

This is my third set of gel pens. I first bought the Color-it brand and they were great, so I got the impression that all similarly priced gel pens should probably be about the same quality as Color-it pens aren't very expensive. Not so. I would say the color is the Mercedes of gel pens. They're similar to Subaru's gel pens in that they're economical and get the job done, but with no frills. General handle shape/quality: These Tanmit handles are very difficult to open. The lids are tight and the case is cheap so sometimes part of it breaks off when you press the lid against the handle. I like the pen cap, which snaps smoothly into place with little effort. These are not like that at all. It takes a lot of effort to take the cap off and my hand hurts when I put it back on. Colors: beautiful and many unique colors. So I'm changing my rating from 2 to 4 stars because they weren't expensive and after a few weeks of use I can see I'm getting a lot out of them. And they come with refills. So that's quite a lot of ink. Ink Leakage/Ease of Writing: If you like these colors, it pays to be patient, write gently so the ink flows well. Some colors (not all) can sometimes scratch and dry, so I've found that an old cloth sometimes works faster than paper for wiping the ball of a pen. (Of course this will smudge the napkin with pretty colored lines, so don't use grandma's vintage linens) Quantity/arrangement of colors: The packaging is a nightmare, but if you're using gel pens you'll know most of them. I bought separate containers to keep them in and they are perfect. The numbers are faded and white so you can see them, but not as easily. The color numbering system is better, but at least they have numbers. The second photo shows all the paints in the $6 container to keep them organized.
