I liked the price of this Canon. I recently sent a digital Elph to the wash and needed a replacement. I was looking for a good price that would still produce a high quality image. This camera is a lot of fun with many features including all kinds of processing like toy, fisheye, miniature. There are enough controls for those with DSLR experience to keep you interested and enough features to make experimenting fun. But it's also great if you just want it to turn on and click automatically. Micromode works very well. Photos are sharp and clear. Very good photos in low light. As other buyers of the camera have noted, the image upload port coverage is weak. I was also a bit disappointed with the camera's plastic feel (my destroyed pixie was metal), which detracts from the aesthetics, but the price and lightness make up for it. I would pay a little more for metal. Other than that, this is a great buy. I wouldn't buy anything other than Canon for the consistent colour, quality and many fun and useful features.
