First of all I am very happy with it. This allowed our two Garmin devices to fit perfectly and securely. I believe the model numbers are 2969 Nuvi and 2594. In California, the unit cannot be windshield mounted outside of the small square in the lower left corner of the windshield. Also, I didn't want the devices to block my daughters' view, especially when parking. The extended bracket allows for convenient mounting in legal areas. Another thing to note is that the units stay cooler further away from the windshield. Please note that there is glue on the suction cups. There is a film in the packaging to cover it, but if you are unsure of placement please note that you should model the setting you want to avoid problems removing and fitting elsewhere. It's articulated, just stiffer than the old-school suction cup system. With that extra adhesive on the suction cups, they stay securely in place.
