Reliable, high quality and precision engineered ball head. The locking mechanism is firm and holds the camera securely in place. The feeling of quality and leaves the user with the assurance that the product will work as expected. The downside is the level - while it works, it's close to the camera's dock, and with large bodies, batteries, or maybe an L-mount, it can be hard to see. This is minor as some cameras have built in electronic levels or there are other options for leveling your camera. Without a doubt, this is a quality ball head and worth buying. UPDATE: Well I wrote the first review too soon. At the time of writing this update (September 2, 2018) the screw (pan lock screw) for tightening the swivel above the tripod mount fell off and cannot be put back in place because the rod in the mount is blocking the screw. This was the very first time I used a ball head. I might have gotten a bad one, who knows, but it's useless now. My star rating has changed from 5 stars to 1 star as a result of this update. It's a pity that the ball head turned out well, but the quality control in China is annoying.
