Perfect Cloud Diamond Rest was my first purchase. The memory foam core was the only thing I liked about this pillow; I couldn't wash the cover in the car because it's lined with loose fiberfill on one side, which can easily get lost. It also smelled pretty strong. This one has everything the other didn't have. No filler, machine washable, removable cover. The right coverage without a strong smell. I washed the cover before using it for the first time, I slept normally the first night, no smell. I love the level of support and coverage and the height feels just right for me. I've slept on it for several nights and have no complaints, which is good given my standards of comfort. Winter but not very hot. The core is encased in a protective elastic cotton film; which together with a washable and gel-filled sleeve could be just the ticket to keep you cool on warm nights. I think the pillowcase is important too; I am currently using synthetic microfiber from a set of sheets. I have no idea how comfortable they are in summer; ok for the winter. I had a very similar regular size gel pad that I bought from Target and it was very similar to this one so I don't expect it to get too hot.
