I had to plug my 3.5mm mono mic into a USB port - works great!
I bought three different adapters because reviews of different adapters gave mixed reviews for use with a microphone. The rest didn't work at all! This worked straight away and my mic now works very accurately with voice controlled software. I throw away the headset I used. A NOTICE. This is a 3.5mm mono microphone app for voice command and dictation.
