Review on 🚰 MOEN 1225 1225B Cartridge Replacement Kit - Single-Handle Bathroom Shower and Kitchen Sink Faucet Cartridge by Luis Adu

I recently bought Moen thanks to the reviews. Moen is a trusted brand and the original valve we had in mind when we moved in 2 years ago. I first replaced the valve with a genuine Moen part which is marked Moen and comes in Moen hard plastic packaging. After installing a new valve, the leak got worse. I spent several hours cleaning, reinstalling at 180 degrees then 90 degrees and putting it back in place after installation and trying to diagnose other possible causes of the leak. I finally gave up and just decided to send the new Moen back as defective. I found this DuoRing valve with really good reviews stating that it had two more seals than the original (Moen) design. I think the two seals are really important. This stopped our shower from leaking completely. Definitely recommend this one which was slightly cheaper than Moen. After reading a few reviews I believe the manufacturing process has changed with the Moen product, or maybe I just got a lemon. If you're a die-hard fan of a well-known brand, choose Moen, but get Prime and while you're at it, you can order this Prime too. If the Moen fails during installation, insert a new duo ring and return the defective Moen Hassel free of charge.
