I have an old gate for dogs and kids that is made out of this hard plastic that makes a horrible noise when knocked over, scratches doors and in general a general PITA. I love that this one snaps in place AND has a door which definitely makes life that much easier. The product came in a fairly large box, but it was mostly already assembled, so all we had to do was pop it out of the box and snap it in place, and we were ready to block the door. The material is metal, weighs just over 10 pounds, is heavy enough not to be easily knocked over if ripped off, and I love that it can be operated with just one hand, making it easy to put on serve when my hands are full. Dimensions: 29.93 x 1.2 x 29 (up to 38) inches, which is perfect for my needs, but I've seen myself going higher/higher with big dogs or jumpers. highlighted.
