
I'm looking for hiking foods and unfortunately 99% of foods contain too much sodium. The preparation is easy. Pour some boiling water into the bag and wait 15 minutes. It's a bit thick and you'll definitely need to stir it first. Shared this with others at the campsite. I'm used to a low salt diet so the taste was ok. A very easy spice hit and no emergency trips to the nearest tree. A bit on the soft side but not really a deal breaker. Others, accustomed to salty and processed foods, have complained that they need salt. Would I buy this again? Yes. For now, this is one of the few pre-made options that won't overload you with salt.
