This back brace is best for light household chores, long standing or sitting or walking etc. The width is wider than many other back braces, provides extended lower back support . With the exception of short stretches on both sides, each stretching about 1 inch, and secondary webbing, the material does not stretch. The top and bottom edges are reinforced to prevent twisting when sitting or leaning forward. I use Large/X-Large which is perfect for my 36" waist with the front strap overlapping about 5". If you have a wide waist I would recommend the 2X-Large Back Corset.
