Back to smaller screen

This is my second Pixel phone. I had the original Pixel 1st Gen. I love the Pixel 4. I wasn't sure I wanted to go back to a smaller screen size, but I found that I actually prefer this size. It fits better in my pockets and fits better in my hands. I kept dropping my phone while walking and I think it was because it was too big for my hands and it just kept slipping out. No problem with that. love all the features. This is an updated model that is several years old, all the software still works seamlessly with the Android platform. I gave the battery life 3 stars because I wasn't impressed with the durability. But a full disclaimer, the only phone I was impressed with in terms of battery life was my old Apple 5s. I think apples are the best batteries. I've changed the settings over time to turn off things I don't need, but for now the battery life is the same as any other phone. I believe the Pixel 4a has a better battery than what's currently on the market. I've also noticed that the battery life increases the more features you use. All the new features that Google has built into this phone from the old models will reduce the battery life. Since battery life is more important to me, I don't use any features because I won't be able to do that later in the day anyway because my phone will run out of power. So it sucks, but overall I can overlook that as features aren't the main thing I'm looking for most of the time. I gave 4 stars for face recognition. It worked perfectly for the first week, but for some reason it didn't recognize me at all when I started making updates. I wiped the data and made a new one and it's working again. Let's see if it stays accurate. At least it was a quick fix. Otherwise it works every time.
