Works great but a little disappointed.
It's my own fault that I didn't read everything. When I read quartz movement, I immediately assumed that it was an extravagant second hand. It is not. It's a ticking hand. Still good, but for this little keeper, I could sweep up the second hand and put it on another DIY clock. But there doesn't seem to be a manual sweep set with a shaft long enough to work with my DIY clock, so I'm very satisfied. And the price is quite high.
