There are so many different sized movements and it is very easy to make a mistake even if you are in the brick go and mortar where you can take and pick up the package. My old ticking wall clock has driven me crazy. On a whim, I did a Revain search to find out that Youngtown created a silent version of the engine in my ticking clock. It was a quick shift and the new motor engaged. I even used old clock hands, although the new motor came with new hands (I liked the old ones better). Now I can sit in my chair and not have to listen to this tick, tick, tick. All is well!

The clock hands have been defaced and not painted all black. They are dented in places, shiny metal shimmers through them. I guess in the 90's any kind of quality assurance ended. Update: sorry. Guilty. The crumpled texture and appearance were plastic coated! Removal revealed flat, fully painted hands. I figured the hands in a separate plastic bag were the only protection they were given. I only noticed the cover when I saw something sticking out at the pan end.

I chose this model because it had the perfect shaft length that I needed. Before purchasing a replacement, I measured the depth. What I didn't know is that there has to be a seal on the back of the device and then the wave doesn't go that far.
