I am very familiar with the 12888 movement and the Youngtown brand as I currently own a watch that has been running stably for over 9 years - without rushing and not wasting a second! Really very accurate. So good that I decided to order another one solely to fix broken watches. The new movement arrived and worked great, keeping time well for about two weeks and then starting to lag by 10 or 11 seconds. I thought nothing of it, maybe he needed time to "break in". After a few days, I found that the mechanism was 2 minutes behind. I decided to replace the battery and sure enough it lost a few minutes again a few days later. I double checked everything to make sure the hands don't "cross over" and that they're tight, the washer isn't screwed too tight into the dial to make sure a new battery is installed. Nothing seems to help. Very disappointed! Maybe I got a bad one? Maybe I'll try again if I'm lucky.
