Review on Youngtown 12888 Clock Movement Replacement - Original 13.5mm (17/32 inch) Shaft Length with 5.5mm (7/32 inch) Thread Length by Ricardo Anderson

I used this product to repair clocks with other valuable features like temperature and humidity that I didn't want to lose. I took it to replace the mechanism, but the replacement was a jerky, noisy one that failed in a relatively short amount of time. I like that the movement offers a smooth and continuous movement of the second hand and is almost silent. The kit comes with everything you need including a nut and washers (top and bottom) to help attach the mechanism to the base. I was a little disappointed that the wider original darts didn't fit and were more readable from a distance, so I had to use the darts that came with the kit. However, silence and accuracy up to this point are very welcome.
