They should be pretty much on the top.

Fixed problem on my 2009 Silverado 5.3L. FYI, my truck didn't have a screen under the gauge that some people have. It's a booger to get there, but not hard to change. There are several videos on YouTube on how to do this. hp Spend ten bucks more and buy a deep rosette made for her. Deep socket, wobbler, long extension cord. To get there, you'll have to pretty much lay down on the engine.
