Review on GLS Audio Cable Stereo Male by Dawn Valdez

In the last two reviews I've seen complaints that this cable only carries one channel of sound or doesn't work at all. Mine has none of these issues and is a well made, durable and extremely smart cable. Now it should be noted that you will not get stereo audio from this cable into a mixer channel - you need 2 channels of the board for that. What this cable does well is MONO SUMMER the L and R signals from your CD, iPod, iPad, computer, etc., allowing you to hear both sides of the recording in one channel room. Works perfectly! To be honest, with live sound, DJ or whatever, it's rare that you ever bother with stereo splitting at all; Most people in the room are not ideally placed to hear stereo. As long as the space is filled with all parts of the original track mix, you're done. I've also used this cable for live recording where I only had access to an on board aux. Using a 1/4" male to female XLR adapter, I connected the XLR male to the circuit board and the 1/8" male to the line-in on my Zoom H2 recorder. Then mixed through additional controls. Worked great! The audio is fed to both the left and right channels of my recorder! All in all a great handy tool that most audio engineers should have, and also very handy for the average buyer who brings a powered speaker, this cable and an iPod to party and play music with. Murderer!
