Update (10/10/13): I still have this item and it's just as durable and stylish as day one. Easy to wear, the threads don't tear. Everything about it kicks some serious dick. Thanks to the good folks at PetPDC - your collar is real. --------------- I have a Great Dane, and a particularly excited one at that (he hasn't outgrown a puppy yet). We're generally great with walks and he's very well-behaved, but he still tends to rush and twitch when we're in relaxed and familiar places, either to sniff around or to meet someone - something new. We tried several collars. , and I've always worried about her for four reasons: First, does it fulfill the times when it's needed? Some of our collar experiments weren't like that (I had a good two inches that looked great but didn't really respond to when I wanted it to stop or not pull). Second, is it safe? I have vetoed many choke collars because, despite their height, I want a gentle squeeze and no choking. Third, is it recognizable? It's black and huge and can be hard to see at night, so I wanted something with a great contrasting color and (hopefully) reflective material. Fourth of course, is it stylish and high quality? Because I love my dog and want him to look good (and I want something permanent). This collar combines all these properties. The first one I bought in this way. The yellow suits him fantastically, really stands out. Stripes of reflectors are clearly visible at night. The padding makes it very comfortable for him and the slip is just enough so he's not restricted while lounging, but when we walk and he pulls he feels a bit of tension around his neck. The materials also appear to be of excellent quality. I'll be updating in a few months to see how it wears out, but nothing about its construction feels cheap. Good stitching, very strong ring. I can /absolutely/ recommend it. We have the large size (Danes are huge but I think the XL size is for mastiffs with bigger necks or something). Perfect. Now when we go for a walk, he understands absolutely everything. Buy it. You will not be disappointed.
