Review on Enhance Your Creativity with the Double Ended Steel Trim Tool for Pottery Throwing, Clay Forming, and Sculpture Artists by Jennifer Roberts

Good traditional production tool.

Handy little trimming tool. I use it often for both porcelain and stoneware. ADVANTAGES: Very light, comfortable to hold during long haircuts. Traditional carbon steel, easy to sharpen. Extremely effective for trimming very large parts as well as large sculptures. Another advantage is that the sharp, sharp edges and lightweight construction create a slight vibration effect. CONS: Carbon steel can rust if not cleaned and dried after use. Sharp, crisp edges can be very "hooky" if you're not careful. Because of the design, the price could be a bit cheaper. In general, the tool is not bad, I am very happy with the purchase. It's not the best tool for trimming every detail, but it does have its place and its own distinct benefits. Just keep in mind that it's not made of stainless steel; it's old-fashioned carbon steel. It can and will rust if you give it even the slightest chance. When you're done, just rub it with some mineral oil and you're good to go.
