Great tool for pottery and ceramic tools

I've seen a Chinese potter using this tool in some videos and still haven't seen it for sale anywhere. Works much better for cropping than IMO's loop tools. Easy to empty and clean. I'm about to order the whole set.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Doubtful

The left hand does not work - clockwise.

This tool is designed to trim right-handed counterclockwise. It's unspecified, but the sharpened edges don't engage backwards. This must be specified or carried out for each type of potter.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Do not buy a cheaper analogue, you will be disappointed.

This tool is so versatile and very easy to use. It is tough enough to cope well with heavy pruning. I love this instrument very much. I just want it to stay sharp forever. Unfortunately, pruning takes its toll.

Pros
  • Heavy duty steel construction with pointed ends.
Cons
  • Not sure

Eh There were great expectations.

Although I haven't used it yet, this cutting tool feels a little unreliable when I first felt it in my hand. It's also very sharp on the edges where you have to hold it while trimming etc. So I have to wrap it in tape or leather or something else to make it more comfortable to hold. I'll update my review once I've actually used it in case my opinion changes.

Pros
  • The flat, square end is sharpened and is very useful for removing clay, trimming and creating flat surfaces when thrown on a potter's wheel or turntable.
Cons
  • Requires socket

Good traditional production tool.

Handy little trimming tool. I use it often for both porcelain and stoneware. ADVANTAGES: Very light, comfortable to hold during long haircuts. Traditional carbon steel, easy to sharpen. Extremely effective for trimming very large parts as well as large sculptures. Another advantage is that the sharp, sharp edges and lightweight construction create a slight vibration effect. CONS: Carbon steel can rust if not cleaned and dried after use. Sharp, crisp edges can be very "hooky" if you're not…

Pros
  • 6" overall length, 3/4" wide.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
