How do I check the water filter? I made several cups of coffee in my new filter coffee machine. They were delicious. Then I inserted the filter and brewed more coffee. I couldn't tell any difference in taste. He still has the same good taste. So, either my taste buds are saturated, or my unfiltered water is just as good as the filtered version, or I don't want the filter to change the taste. Based on my experience I can only check the filter setting. The filter holder easily slides out of the slot at the bottom of the water tank. The filter is simply inserted into the holder, which in turn is simply inserted back into the water compartment. With nothing else I feel compelled to rate the filter a 5 for its ease of use. However, since I've been brewing unfiltered coffee my entire adult life, I will continue to do so and forego overpriced add-on filters and instead buy the Lamborghini I've always dreamed of.
