Works great, just wish I could find it in my drawers when I need it. I bought this to make bean chili salad which requires both cans of beans to strain. Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of opening cans almost completely with a can opener and using the lid to strain the beans. The strainer is better because I don't have to deal with the sharp edges of the glasses, it fits all standard glasses and I can turn the glass upside down to strain while I'm doing other things. I can also shake the jar with the filter as it securely sticks to the jars. I haven't tried filtering anything other than beans, but I'm sure it would be great for canned fruit, olives, or anything else you need to strain (even sardines, chicken, and tuna). I bought one for myself and a month later I bought another for my mom as a stocking filler.
