There's a dumb video overlay that adds processing to the HDMI signal so it limits what kind of signal it can pass . I was able to get 120hz to work for 1440p but only once and never again on my TV, 1080p @ 120hz works a bit more consistently. Perhaps support for this could be added in a future firmware update. Thankfully, I didn't notice any additional video lag. I haven't tested this with dedicated MS-Sync hardware, but there seems to be little or no lag. 4k @ 60Hz works great and ARK+CEC seems to work too. I haven't tried HDR yet. I'd rather have NO menu passthrough and either a boosted or separate HDMI connection to allow the TV to dictate supported resolutions and frequencies rather than a dumb video controller built into this thing. Sometimes the menu freezes showing which input is selected and I couldn't find the exit button on the controller. When I switched between different resolutions, there were problems with the menu, sometimes the selected display would get stuck in the middle of the screen, or the menu would stay off-screen or stay in place and not disappear. I haven't tried HDR alone with or through my HDMI cable so I don't know if HDR is supported at 4k 60Hz or not. The OSD makes it easy setting up the speakers, but since Bluetooth is built-in I think adding an app that will allow your phone to be a screen and a controller to set up the speakers will work just as well, if not better. I know it will take a lot of work to develop a receiver control app, but SONY will be able to use this on ALL future receivers and will no longer need the OSD and allow direct HDMI pass-through requiring only CEC and ARK . be handles non-video stream data. that it will take a lot of work to develop a receiver control app, but SONY will be able to use this on ALL future receivers and will no longer need the OSD and allow direct HDMI pass-through requiring only CEC and ARK. be handles non-video stream data. that it will take a lot of work to develop a receiver control app, but SONY will be able to use this on ALL future receivers and will no longer need the OSD and allow direct HDMI pass-through requiring only CEC and ARK. be handles non-video stream data.
