Review on 🧀 Indie Ridge Golden Glove: Large Leather Motorcycle Gloves with Phone Touchscreen & Knuckle Protection by Shalom Germann

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like her. . .but there are some caveats.

This is a first impressions review. Have only traveled with them twice; Short trips under 30 minutes at 50-60 degrees. I was impressed by the packaging. The skin is soft and supple; landing is correct; the processing/end quality is very good; tank joints are comfortable; They are double stitched in the right places. Cool gloves! BUT! I was expecting unlined gloves to be used in the summer (high 90 degree humidity Midwest); However, these gloves have a thin plastic lining. In the summer I sweat almost every day through my old unlined gloves. You should have replaced her. They are probably more suited to fall/spring gloves. Time will tell, but I suspect it will be too warm here in summer! And based on previous experiences, I'm afraid they will (strongly) stink after sweating in them. The seams/lining are somewhat noticeable when wearing gloves due to pressure points. That said, I clearly notice that the seams press against my fingers, although this wasn't uncomfortable over short distances; Haven't driven it more than 30 minutes yet. I'm curious myself, and soon there will be several hours of driving - then I'll update the rating. I don't usually use my phone while driving, so the touch/screen finger isn't that important to me. Still, you can skip these gloves if they're important to you. At least on Samsung phones (tested on 3 different models) I got ZERO responses with my index finger, middle finger or thumb on the glove. Other phones may be different, but that's what I found. Now the good news; I have raised my concerns with the company both through Revain and their website: IMMEDIATE response from both! Indie Ridge takes customer care very seriously. I can't say if they actually honor their guarantees, but they responded immediately. According to them, "Try the gloves, if you don't like them, return them and we'll refund your money." In the meantime, I'll try these gloves. In the worst case, I have well-fitting, very flexible spring/autumn gloves. And when Indy Ridge reads. . . EW!

Pros
  • Nice touch
Cons
  • Not bad but...
