I have used contractor bags for many years and they are very good. Nice and fat. However, the packaging they come in looks like you could easily pull them out of the box individually, but the way the packages are stacked inside, all nested and intertwined makes that impossible. I ended up taking them all out of the box and putting them back together. such a pain but now i am at least satisfied with the bags themselves. For those who complain about the lack of ties, there is no need for ties. Just leave enough room at the top to tie the bag by tying two opposite ends of the bag opening together, pull tight, and tie again to secure.
