The mirror fits my mirror mount perfectly. Before installing I scraped off all the old factory silicone/adhesive and then cleaned the inside of the mirror mount. Then only the adhesive film had to be removed from the new mirror and installed. It's been over a month since I installed it and it's still there. The truck it is mounted on is a ranch truck that spends very little time on paved or compacted sidewalks, 95% of the traffic is off-road. I keep expecting the mirror to fall off like the early 90's original. In any case, it works well and is definitely worth the price.
