I read many reviews about this refurbished model before purchasing. I was a bit wary because some customers reported that they did NOT receive the Verizon model, couldn't use visual voicemail, couldn't be activated, or had other similar issues. I decided to play it safe and didn't choose the cheapest seller on the list. Everything went very well for me. It arrived in original LG packaging with an LG charger. Although there is no plastic on the screen. The phone starts up with a Verizon welcome screen. It managed to activate Total Wireless in no time (don't forget to buy the SIM card separately for a dollar, you can't transfer the SIM card to a new phone). If that worries you, the Verizon SIM isn't part of this phone, but I wasn't expecting it. Visual voicemail works great. 4G, SMS and MMS work right out of the box. HD Voice too. The only downside if I want to be picky is that it ran old firmware and the phone didn't update automatically. However, this phone has a handy PC updater that can be downloaded via a USB cable. That pushed me to a newer version. It still worked after the update, so the phone works with the official firmware. The only major quirk is that you can't enable WiFi calling with Total Wireless (only available after a firmware update), but at the time of writing this was a known issue for MVNO operators. If you activated this phone with a real Verizon, you probably have this feature available. Fingerprint unlock works well and is actually faster than swiping on an unlocked phone. In general I am very satisfied with this phone, it has met my expectations. The camera is not important to me, so I can't comment on the quality.
