Review on 6 Inch Diameter 6-Hole Sander Hook & Loop Pad - Replacement Backing Pad for Ridgid R2611 Random Orbit Sander by Jeremy Watkins

I bought this to replace the original pad on my Rigid R2611 random orbit sander which is about 10 years old. The original cushion was torn around the edges and on the Velcro. was worn out. This product was thinner than my standard pad and when installed the sander center nut protruded slightly creating a bulge in the center of the pad. It looks like the pad's hard plastic base is thinner, as is the foam itself. The screw pattern is correct and while it would fit, the high point would ruin any sanded surfaces and likely wear out quickly.
