Review on Acer VG240Y Bmiix FREESYNC Technology 23.8", 1920X1080P, 75Hz, Frameless, HD, HDMI by Jason Aukuso

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great monitor, great colors and deep blacks

I don't use this monitor for gaming, but I liked its specs. The bezel is very thin on the top and sides, which I liked. Beautiful minimalist stand. I like that it can be connected to my hard drive. It has no height adjustment but can tilt up and down at the corners. The only negative I can say is that the speakers are very weak, but nobody buys it for the speakers. You can connect external ones if that's a big problem. This monitor retails for $109.99 and currently sells for $150-$200 in most locations (23.8 inch monitor). Great monitor and great price when it's on sale at Revain. Maybe I'll get a second one for my two monitors. ***UPDATE*** I bought a second one of these for my second monitor in my setup. I had an ASUS monitor because the second purchase I liked this ACER model MUCH better. From the ultra-narrow bezel to the size, I would only recommend using either an HDMI-to-HDMI cable or an HDMI-to-DisplayPort cable (the monitor only comes with a VGA cable.) The ports on the back of the Monitors are either VGA or HDMI. I used HDMI-to-HDMI for one of the monitors and my computer has a display connector, so I bought a display-to-HDMI connector for the other. These connections give you the cleanest and clearest image on your screens. . made so inexpensive when I bought the first one for $109. I waited a week between purchases for the next one and it was $119. Now the only sellers I see are third party vendors and the asking price is around $180. I hope this review helps those looking for a great monitor.
