As adults, we happily tossed them around the house. Definitely a good tool for the fidget. It kept my hands busy while I was doing something. Excellent! The reason for removing a star is that I would hesitate to recommend it to children. The "noodle" is extremely resilient and it's hard not to want to pull it back and shoot or fluff it around the room. If your child isn't supervised or you don't trust them, I'm not sure this is the best calming remedy for young children.
