The fastening screw is in the nut. Cannot be uninstalled/reconnected.
I ordered a second bracket to easily transport my saddlebag between bikes. When I went to adjust the position, the mounting screw was locked in the nut. Even when placed all the way back on the seat rails, the bag slopes down and takes up the entire seat post, leaving nowhere to mount the taillight. They can be installed on the bag itself, but the light will be directed downwards, reducing visibility. A slightly wider clamp mechanism would allow mounting on the back of the rails at an upward angle and solve these problems.
