Review on Califone 2395AV 02 Music Cassette Recorder by Charles Lewellen

Let me upfront say this unit looks solid and well built so I don't mind its quality. We wanted it to track aerobic exercise. To do this, we record the voice over the music on tape. This block seemed to have everything needed for it, but it didn't work. The main issue for us was that it records your voice on tape with a microphone and records music from tape to tape or from CD to tape, but you can't record your voice over the music on tape, which is what we did. have to do. And although it records your voice, you can't hear it through the speakers. Since this device is primarily used in classrooms, I don't understand why they left out this PA feature. Also, when it records your voice, it seems to only record it in mono coming out of a speaker. Finally, Califone has no technical support. I called them about some of these issues and while they were very nice and helpful, they told me they fired the tech.
