Good case, but fits so-so

I like this case in principle; It's very durable and the elastic bands, center strap and buckle keep it (mostly) on the car where it needs to be. I haven't had it long enough to know how it handles rain or sun exposure. It has an asterisk on the left side to tell which side is which when fighting for a seat. or it would be if my bike's drive chain was on the left. it is not so. My only problem comes. I have a size M on a Royal Enfield C5 Classic. The overall length between the front and rear wheels is just right; maybe a little tight, but not so tight that it's difficult to put the lid back on. However, the lid is very baggy in the back where it's wide enough to cover the side baskets, which I don't have. It's also slightly baggy at the front; It's probably meant to cover a small fairing or windshield, which again I don't have. Those bulging areas aren't the cover's fault; If I had a fatter bike the cover would fit fine. BUT the sleeve is cut symmetrically; Left and right are mirror images. However, this is not the form of a covered motorcycle. A cover like this is like having a pair of matching shoes and expecting each of them to fit each foot. A parked motorcycle has the front wheel and steering wheel turned to the left towards the lock. As a result, this cover is very loose and baggy near the left handlebar and tight between the end of the right handlebar and the rear fender/taillight. I don't know if it would even fit if I had a standard "insect antenna" mirror; I have low side mirrors at the moment and they are narrow enough that it's a bit annoying to fight against. ONE YEAR UPDATE - The price dropped after I bought it. :(A very windy day ripped off the strap that was attached underneath. I reattached it with more overlap and DAP/Weldwood contact cement, then sewed a few stitches of leather patch through it to keep the stitches from unraveling. behind The north side of the house and the lid don't get much sun, but most of it has faded to a shade of gray (So I bought black, not something festive like red - I didn't want it to be pink, would look terrible on one army green motorcycle.) Painted white lettering is cracked but cover material has not become brittle and still feels waterproof Eighteen months UPDATE - Case has survived two winters and is still structurally sound, no holes and the rattling would not turning but the color has faded in beyond recognition It's more off-white than anything that looks like black Thirty months update - still holds together, no holes, no breakage. Even more faded than last year so looks a bit dingy but structurally okay. FOUR YEARS UPDATE - Finally fell apart. The seams are ok, but the fabric is unraveling. Of course, the color has long since paid off. I bought another one - the price went down, cheers.
