Review on NVIDIA SHIELD Remote: Next-Level TV Control with Voice Search, Motion Activation, Backlit Buttons, Customizable Menu, and IR Blaster by Jacob Richardson

The remote comes with a small instruction booklet showing how to connect the Shield TV and a URL for a one page guide to pairing the remote. Why they couldn't turn this on with the same font size as the security booklet I don't know, but it didn't pair until I unplugged the security TV. When I came back, holding the select again didn't seem to do anything, maybe hold for a minute then I pressed the power button and it turned off! It worked! I don't know what I did, but I finally did it! On my first try, I followed the instructions by holding down the select button next to the device and nothing happened. I went into accessories and tried to add it but after holding the selection for about 2 minutes it refused. I thought it was DOA so I only gave it one star. After that it worked great. I would have given it more stars, but tuning issues and my constant failed attempts to open the battery door (and I'm no wimp) forced me to downgrade it to 3 stars.
