Review on Culina 8-Inch Nonstick Carbon Steel Sushi Knife: A Black-Handled Essential with Sheath by Bethany Green

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cut to the Chase is good for cutlery and knife accessories

I bought this knife hoping it would replace some of my old worn out knives and cutters. It was discounted, looked good, and had great reviews, so I checked it out. Let me just say that I am by no means a chef. I just cook dinner for my wife every night and use different knives. So, let's get down to business (pun intended): Positives: 1). Extremely low weight2). Good appearance and design 3). Seems to be very sharp 4). The knife sheath offers excellent coverage. Disadvantages: 1). The blade is very thin2). The blade bends easily3). The handle is made of cheap plastic 4). The handle and blade are glued together (so I'm concerned about durability). Overall I think you get what you pay for with this knife. At the time of my purchase, the knife was $9.99, making it a decent slicer for the price. I'm not overly impressed with the construction and durability of this blade, but I feel it's a decent knife to use in a pinch.
