The collar works. Not sure how long it will last as it seems very cheap. Particularly remote. I wouldn't say it's very difficult, but it's not easy, nor is it effective. You need to hold down the menu button and then cycle through all the options to set the shock/vibration level. This is time consuming and more difficult when the dog needs a higher level of correction. The remote also beeps every time you press the button and it's impossible to stop. This is confusing for the dog when you are trying to teach him that the beep mode precedes the corrective action as he will beep no matter what button you press. It also makes it more difficult when you're training in a group because the beeps will distract other dogs. My obedience trainer has decided not to mess with him and will be using one of hers for the training.
