Not sure what they are for

They don't hold their position well. Even a micro camera with a micro USB adapter is hardly balanced at a 90-degree angle. Most likely, it will tip over if the wind blows on it. I should have known from the product description that they wouldn't hold their position, on the other hand I'm not sure what they would be for if it wasn't important to hold their position.
