My trunk latch was broken for over a year. First it was stuck shut and would never open, then it was stuck open and never would shut. (It's a long story.) So glad we had the idea to try to fix it ourselves! In minutes, we were able to replace the latch and the trunk was opening and shutting again. For $30! I took off a star because I have to use a little force when I shut it to get it to latch close and not bounce back up. I'm not sure if that's the latch's or my trunk's issue. But it does seem to get easier and easier. It may have just needed breaking in.If your trunk latch is broken, it's worth giving this a try before paying the dealership hundreds of dollars! (Btw, we've had the latch in the trunk now a few months.)
