This is a high quality precision tool. He exudes quality. This is a regular M12x1.5 timesert kit with 9.2mm rather than 16mm inserts and a rail (usually sold separately). Many went into the details of this type of kit, I will focus only on those aspects about which I found almost no information before the determination. The set should not be used on steel. That's exactly what I needed them for. This is all understandable as plucked steel threads are not that common. However, they are not unknown either. Everyone will tell you that tapping in a straight line is the hardest part of this job. I found it very easy with the tip and tip guide that came with it. I would have no hesitation in advising even a beginner to try this job (after watching a video on how to do it). The faucet cut through the steel like butter. Countersinking steel with the included bit was easy, effortless and completed in seconds. The bit screwdriver, a wonderful piece of precision equipment, did its job just as well. Headache of monumental proportions. The included drill is of the same quality as the rest of the set. However, it was a long hard work to do this job. The bit just doesn't cut, it taps too hard and after the initial progress you end up with a polished 'ledge' that the bit can't cut into. an additional slightly smaller drill, start with the smaller drill and then finish with the drill included in the kit. This is just a suggestion though as I did the job with the bat included at the end. Finally, a note on the dealer (mechanical tools and bits). This isn't the right place but I just had to mention it: I ordered the kit on Saturday and it came in the mail on Monday. The Revain Prime orders I placed this Saturday arrived two days later on Wednesday. Thanks to Mechanics-tools-and-bits and good old USPS.
